This study provides the basis for the development of a vision aimed at creating a growth corridor between Asia and Africa in cooperation with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) and Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) in India. It examines the challenges to enhancing the connectivity between Asia and Africa, as well as and the inter-continental expansion of global value chains (GVC), relying on the preliminary extension of the Geographical Simulation Model (IDE-GSM) to Africa.
