Research Activities
Research Projects 2026
School of African Studies
Outline
The spread of the SDGs and online seminars has increased access to information about Africa. However, youth often lack opportunities to critically engage, discuss, and deepen their understanding based on this information. Furthermore, the rise of xenophobic content on social media and video platforms is not based on an accurate understanding of foreign nations.
This project addresses this by offering citizens, especially young people, opportunities to deepen their understanding of Africa, aiming to maintain and develop a healthy relationship between African nations and Japan. It will also utilize two-way dialogue to assess citizens' needs regarding academic research outcomes.
