Economic, Industrial and Trade Development Visions for Lao PDR
Outline
This project examines the policy agendas needed for Lao PDR in the era of globalization and under the circumstances of increased trade and investment liberalization in ASEAN and East Asian countries. As concrete topics, we will conduct studies including a geographical simulation analysis of the economic effects of service liberalization, industrial cluster feasibility of the electronics and precision industries in the capital city of Vientiane, fundamental infrastructure improvements needed for industrial parks in special economic zones and challenges for small and medium enterprises in developing human resources through face-to face communication.
