“Global Value Chain Development Report” is a collaborative research outcome produced by four organizations (*) that lead research on Global Value Chains (GVCs). The fourth issue of the report focuses on the aspect of resilient and sustainable GVCs in turbulent times. It provides a clear explanation and a thorough up-to-date overview of some of the most important topics in GVCs.
(*) the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Research Institute for Global Value Chains at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Institute of Developing Economies – Japan External Trade Organization (IDE-JETRO).
(Over 60 authors from more than 30 research institutions in 20 economies contributed 37 background papers that form the basis for this report, in which IDE-JETRO contributed 7 background papers and led Chapter 2 and 5. In IDE-JETRO, the edition was conducted on the activities of research project “Global Value Chain in Transition IV” lead by Dr. Bo Meng.
