Economic Impacts of Tariff Change in Asia (2020_2_40_012)

Outline

Since 2000, due to the conclusion of regional trade agreements, trade has rapidly been liberalized in the Asia-Pacific region. In this project, we empirically investigate how such trade liberalization, especially tariff reduction, has affected economies in nine countries/regions in East Asia and Southeast Asia, from various viewpoints. Although we focus on the impacts of tariff reduction in all countries, the impacts that we investigate may differ by country/region. Via these analyses, we intend to present the overall results of the economic impacts of tariff reduction in East Asia and Southeast Asia.

Period
