Preliminary Study on the Practice and Reconfiguration of Care in Asia
Outline
This research examines the practice and reorganization of care in emerging and developing countries facing globalization and aging populations, drawing on welfare regime theory and the "ethics of care." Academic interest in care has grown significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic. The study examines everyday care practices across four domains: family, state, market, and community. Through literature review and discussion, it provides a preliminary analysis of how care providers and care systems are changing in Asian emerging and developing countries.
