Methods and Practices of Big Data Processing for Social Scientists(2021_2_40_006)

Outline

The purpose of this research project is to bring more big data accessibility to more social scientists. It aims to reach this goal via two paths. Firstly, it will compile a textbook of big data processing methods specially prepared considering the needs and general technical background of social scientists. Secondly, it will compile and make available global data sets pre-processed from big data into formats widely used in social sciences. This research will attempt to carry out these tasks through collaboration between members and observers from various academic backgrounds, together with frequent and in-depth consultation with wider audiences or potential users in the social sciences.
