Law and Society in the Philippines during the three decade re-democratization period(2016_2_40_011)

Outline

It has been 30 years since the re-democratization of the Philippines occurred after the collapse of the former Ferdinand Marcos regime. During the past three decades, the significance of the rule of law has increased, and successive judicial reforms have been advanced. In this study and research, we will aim to give a full-length portrait of the changes with regard to the judicial system in the Philippines under the current constitution established in 1987. More precisely, we will aim to review and verify the current affairs concerning judicial reform, focusing on the three fields of "the nation and laws", "the market and laws", and "the society and laws".
