The role of policy in building up Yiwu market

Outline

We focus on the typical case of agglomeration in developing countries, which is China Commodity City (a large daily necessities market of Yiwu). By harmonizing regional study and economic theory, we clarify the mechanism of agglomeration by the interaction between players in a marketplace and also the importance of the measures taken by the managers of the Yiwu market. Furthermore, we examine whether or not a bigger market should be formed statistically.
