Political and Economic Analyses for Trade and Investment Rules in East Asia(2020_2_60_005)
Outline
The negotiations for RCEP, which began in 2012, took about eight years to conclude in November 2020. A free trade agreement involving 15 East Asian countries is now expected to become effective, which covers trade in goods and services as well as rules on investment, intellectual property, e-commerce, competition, trade remedies, and government procurement. This research project will examine the significance and effects of RCEP from the perspectives of political science, economics, and legal systems, and present basic information for policymaking.
