Labor Reforms in India(2020_2_40_010)

Outline

The present research tries to explicate the state of affairs of labor reforms in India after economic liberalization, especially focusing on that within the first two decades of this century. While the research duly looks at the amendments of labor laws and their reasoning, it pays more attention to actions, policies, behavioral principles, and trends, as well as to the relationships and their changes and to the actors of industrial relations systems; ?that is, worker/trade unions and labor organizations, employers/employer organizations, and the government. Situating labor reforms as an outcome of industrial relations as a starting analytical viewpoint, the study attempts to elucidate the factors affecting India’s labor reforms.
