In this research work, we will examine the mechanism of economic development in this region from the perspective of global value chains. The research topics covered in this study include: triangular trade centered on China; spatial linkages and positions of respective countries/sectors in GVCs; value chains of specific industries; development of supplier industries; and value chains of high-tech exporting industries. These studies will be conducted with the use of international input-output data.
