Asymmetric Information and Anti-dumping Duty (2019_1_40_007)

Outline

It is intended that an analysis of asymmetric information can be applied to the issue of anti-dumping duty, and it is assumed that asymmetric information exists between developing countries and industrialized countries, and that the internalizations of environmental pollution for economies are partially proceeded with. Anti-dumping duties are imposed according to the degree of internalization. In this case, we determine to what degree the report on production costs should be made. Then, we assume that a company from a developing country is exporting goods to an industrialized country. An anti-dumping duty is imposed if the report on the production cost is too high. However, the governments of industrialized countries do not have enough information on production costs. In this case, we determine to what degree the report on production costs should be made.
