Islam and Socio-political Change in Africa (2018_2_40_001)

Outline

The recent activities of several Islamist militant groups in Sub-Saharan Africa pose to us of course the problems concerning "terrorism" and armed conflict. Furthermore, they also require researchers to fully reinvestigate what role Islam plays in political development and social change in Sub-Saharan Africa. This study tries to tackle this relatively uninvestigated subject in the hope of finding several major topics for further research.
