Searching for Stability in Afghanistan(2018_1_10_004)

Outline
With the second year of Trump administration in the US, Afghanistan is facing new challenges in relation to security issues as the national parliament election is expected to be held in July. Recent investments by India in the Chabahar port in southeastern Iran is giving Afghanistan another prospect of becoming a regional hub connecting Central Asian countries and the Indian Ocean. This sub-group intends to reassess the Japanese policy towards the new conditions of this fragile country and the rapidly-changing region.
