Administrative Divisions
Singapore is treated as one region.
GDP
We compiled country-level GDP by industry for Singapore. We primarily used the Economic Survey of Singapore by EDB, but the industrial classification of GDP by industry in these statistics was not detailed enough for the manufacturing sector. To divide the manufacturing sector according to GSMSIC, we used the “Performance of Manufacturing” in the same statistics. To subdivide the transport equipment sector in (018A) Motor Vehicles and (018B) Other Transport Equipment, we used the “Principal Statistics of Manufacturing by Industry Cluster” from the same statistics.
Population
Data are taken from “Mid-Year Population, Total” in the Yearbook of Statistics , Singapore.
Area
Data are taken from “Land Area” in the Yearbook of Statistics, Singapore .
