Administrative Divisions
We adopted the primary (region) level administrative division.
GDP
GDP by region and industry was obtained from the Philippines National Statistical Coordination Board website, although GDP was divided into only three sectors, Agriculture, Fishery and Forestry, and Industry and Services. Then, we divided industries into more detailed sectors using the Annual Survey of Philippines Business and Industry 2005. However, we could not separate (23C) Other Services and (24) Public Administration and Defense in the GSM Standard Industrial Classification.
Population
Population by region in 2005 is calculated based on the population growth rate for each region between 2000 and 2007, from the Philippines Statistics Yearbook .

Data are taken from the Philippines Statistics Yearbook .
