Previous research
Since joining the JETRO Institute of Developing Economies in 1997, I have been involved in the compilation of international input−output tables and have performed analyses using these tables. Specifically, I helped to compile the Asian Input−Output Tables for the years 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005. I have also conducted research with the aim of improving compilation methodologies and empirical analyses of the industrial structure and economic interdependencies in the Asia-Pacific region using the compiled tables.
Current research projects
In recent years, my main research themes have been as follows.
(1) Evaluation of international input–output tables
(2) Development of methodologies for updating international input–output tables
(3) Development of methodologies for compiling the Transnational Interregional Input–Output Table
(4) Empirical analyses on economic interdependencies, using international input–output tables.
