NIER and IDE-JETRO Seminar The Lao-Chinese High-speed Railway

The Lao-Chinese High-speed Railway (LCHR) will start its operation on the 46th national day of the Laos in 2021. It will operate both passenger and cargo high-speed train in the year. What and how much will the LCHR change the Lao PDR? In order to maximize the benefit from the LCHR, what measures are needed? The IDE Geographical Simulation Model (IDE-GSM) team will provide the simulation analysis of the LCHR for discussion with the policy makers of Lao PDR.
