APLセミナー（アジ研パワーランチセミナー）は、アジア経済研究所の研究者のみならず、外部の研究者、学生の方にも参加いただけるリサーチワークショップで、お昼の時間にアジア経済研究所（海浜幕張）の会議室で開催しています。

研究所内外における研究者が研究成果、研究活動の中間発表を行うほか、発表者と参加者、あるいは参加者相互のディスカッションを行います。テーマ、講師に応じて日本語あるいは英語での発表、議事進行となります。

セミナー終了後、受付で渡される「面会確認票」にセミナーの司会者から署名を得てください。
なお、ランチとありますが昼食は出ません。

Focusing on labor productivity and working conditions, we investigate the benefits of industrial zones for private manufacturing enterprises in Myanmar. We find that being located in an industrial zone associates with higher labor productivity. Value added gains, however, are not transferred to employees. The results are robust to different measures of productivity and model specifications, as well as to controlling for the natural level of industrial agglomeration in a particular location. The findings in general indicate additional benefits of planned industrial activities as opposed to naturally-driven industrial clustering.
