APLセミナー（アジ研パワーランチセミナー）は、アジア経済研究所の研究者のみならず、外部の研究者、学生の方にも参加いただけるリサーチワークショップで、お昼の時間にアジア経済研究所（海浜幕張）の会議室で開催しています。

研究所内外における研究者が研究成果、研究活動の中間発表を行うほか、発表者と参加者、あるいは参加者相互のディスカッションを行います。テーマ、講師に応じて日本語あるいは英語での発表、議事進行となります。
――参加ご希望の方は、研究所受付にて「APLセミナーに参加」と伝え、開催場所まで直接お越しください。――
セミナー終了後、受付で渡される「面会確認票」にセミナーの司会者から署名を得てください。
なお、ランチとありますが昼食は出ません。

Asia has been one of the fastest growing regions in the world over the last few decades. Urbanization is likely to have played a significant role in driving economic development in the region. However, with an estimated 48% of its population residing in urban areas, developing Asia’s urbanization ratio lags behind most other world regions. Asia is poised to experience a dramatic increase in urbanization, bringing with it significant opportunities as well as many challenges.

The Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department at Asian Development Bank is preparing a report which aims to examine the urbanization patterns across Asia and the Pacific in the past 20 years, discuss selected topics thoroughly, and draw policy lessons relevant for urbanization in the region. The presentation will show the progress and plan for the study and solicit discussion and potential collaboration.
