APLセミナー(アジ研パワーランチセミナー)

APLセミナー(アジ研パワーランチセミナー)は、アジア経済研究所の研究者のみならず、外部の研究者、学生の方にも参加いただけるリサーチワークショップで、お昼の時間にアジア経済研究所（海浜幕張）の会議室で開催しております。

研究所内外における研究者の方の研究成果、研究活動の中間発表を行っていただくほか、発表者と参加者、あるいは参加者相互のディスカッションを行います。テーマ、講師に応じて日本語あるいは英語での発表、議事進行となります。
——参加ご希望の方は、研究所受付にて「APLセミナーに参加」とお伝え頂き、開催場所まで直接お越し下さい。——
セミナー終了後、受付で渡される「面会確認票」にセミナーの司会者から署名を得て頂きますよう、お願い申し上げます。
なお、ランチとありますが昼食は出ません。

要　旨

Current trends for Indonesia can transform by 2030 explore the possibility expansion of national Science and Innovation capacities where Indonesian Research and Development institutions should plays a strategic role. Although R&D investments have risen, they are declining as a ratio of GDP. The ratios of researchers in the labor force and populations are still low, even compared to other ASEAN countries.

Following big changes after Soeharto Era, several reformative action have been taken including changes in executive, legislative and judicative branch of the country. In the past President implemented the state policy general guidelines (GNHN) which decided by People’s Consultative Assembly. Nowadays the newly elected President decide their own policy. Under new administration, government has set up new ministry that merge between Ministry of Research and Technology and Directorate General Higher Education in former administration. Recently R&D relies on government rather than industry and the number of researchers is still low. Institutional reform is sought but funding is unsecured.

For more longer perspectives public still waiting more strategic decision to address the future direction of our Science Technology Innovation direction that include answered question about the comprehensive policy for Indonesia toward Science Technology and Innovation, such as in legal basic, institutional framework and in priority setting to define a good program.

The problem of Sustainability it become crucial in set up long terms perspectives toward science in avoiding election cycles which remain involved in making decision by the new elected government.
