“After the Middle East”: Seeking Regional Stability (2019_1_10_001)

Outline

In the MENA region in 2019, the third year of the Trump’s administration in the U.S., the presence of Russia and China has increased both politically and economically. The relations among Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, the main countries in this region, are becoming intertwined in complex ways, and there is no sight of regional stability in the near future. IDE-JETRO will follow up on the current issues surrounding this region and will point out the ways in which Japan could contribute to the attainment of peace and development through discussion and cooperation with policymakers.
