Outline
Social institutions and norms may be seen as a form of social capital or technology, which thus affects economic development. By addressing the following topics, this research project aims to improve our understanding of the mechanisms for sustaining social institutions/norms as well as their socio-economic roles.
- Village vigilante groups in Tanzania
- Female labor force participation and social networks in South Asia
