Evaluation Systems for Asian Countries' Social Sciences and Humanities in the 21st Century(2017_2_40_018)

Outline

Globalization and digitalization, which have accelerated since the beginning of the 1990s, have had a significant impact on the evaluation systems for social sciences and humanities in Asian countries. The impacts include both positive and negative aspects. This project attempts to analyze the evaluation systems as key components of knowledge creation in these countries and address the following two issues. First, what features do the evaluation systems have under globalization and digitalization? Second, how do they shape the research activities and results? Our project hopes to contribute to obtaining a deeper understanding of the research activities and the impacts of globalization and digitalization, as well as present answers to these questions.
