Outline
As a result of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the accident on the first Fukushima nuclear power plant, it is obvious for Japan to keep relying on oil and LNG by the Middle East for the future. In this regard, this research project will invite experts on the Middle East and discuss diplomatic policies and energy security with a special focus on the gulf region, and propose policy recommendations to Japanese policy makers.
