Economic Effects of Road Infrastructure Development in the Greater Mekong Subregion (2020_2_40_015)
Outline
In the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), composed of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, and Yunnan Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, the east-west, north-south, and the southern economic corridors were developed as a flagship project of the GMS Economic Cooperation Program under the initiative of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In this research project, we empirically analyze the economic effects of road infrastructure development including the economic corridors in terms of trade, investment, and other economic indicators.
