イベント・セミナー情報

APLセミナー(アジ研パワーランチセミナー)は、アジア経済研究所の研究者のみならず、外部の研究者、学生の方にも参加いただけるリサーチワークショップで、週1回、お昼の時間にアジア経済研究所（海浜幕張）の会議室で開催しております。

研究所内外における研究者の方の研究成果、研究活動の中間発表を行っていただくほか、発表者と参加者、あるいは参加者相互のディスカッションを行います。テーマ、講師に応じて日本語あるいは英語での発表、議事進行となります。参加ご希望の方は、下記APL幹事までEメイルでお申込ください。（電話での申込は受け付けておりません。）なお、ランチとありますが昼食は出ません。

International Portfolio Choice: Theory, Empirics and Computation

要約: Recent decades observed a surge in external investments and research papers on them. I am going to present two works; laying theoretical foundation for analyze past and current data and simulating the distributional impact of future financial globalization. For first part, forthcoming in Journal of International Economics, many empirical studies on international portfolio choice utilize "gravity equation” type estimation, borrowed from international trade literature. We found that theoretical foundation in the financial gravity equation is much weaker than that of trade. It suggests the direction for future research. Second part is preliminary work about computational DSGE portfolio choice model on financial globalization. Long-run dynamic feature of gradual reduction of financial frictions are analyzed, with focus on difference on the impacts for middle-income households and high income households.
