Female International Migration: A Case of Nurse Migration from Kerala, India
Outline
This research aims to understand female international migration with a focus on nurse migration from Kerala, India. Based on a survey of nurses, this study will illustrate the factors, processes and consequences of migration by paying attention to migration patterns, gender aspects of migration, and a wide range of other factors. Moreover, the socio-economic impact of migration on the household as well as on the economy will be discussed.
