Business and Human Rights in Emerging Markets – For Designing Japan’s CSR Strategies

Japanese firms, nowadays, need CSR strategies not only for risk management, but also enhancing competitiveness in its playing field. The purpose of this research project is to review discourse about “business” and “human rights” and propose policy recommendations to Japanese policy makers about how Japanese companies handle human rights issues in their business activities and how the Japanese government supports it.
