Preliminary study on the expansion of cooperative thoughts and practice in developing countries
Cooperativism has long influenced the politics and public policies of developing countries. Even though many attempts to introduce cooperatives as economic actors have failed to yield the results that the designers of cooperatives expected, the policy makers have never given up on making new attempts. This is the preliminary study for finding approaches to identify why and how the cooperative thought, which originated in Western Europe, has attracted the attention of people in developing countries.
