International Comparison of Environmental Policy Development from a Historical Viewpoint

In order to implement environment policy efficiently in developing countries, it is possible to refer to the experience of advanced nations; however, in many cases the direct transfer of a policy and an institution is not necessarily easy. We will draw comparisons with the historical development processes of developed countries in order to clarify the features of the development processes of the environment policies of East Asian countries. We will also attempt to create an analytical framework for the comparative study of environmental problems and policies. Moreover, we aim to clarify the subject of the system formation for the discussion with advanced nations and developing countries, regarding policy concerns that require international cooperation, such as global warming-related issues.
