The Change in Social Contract in Egypt

The purpose of this research project is to analyze the so-called “Social Contract” in Egypt in terms of its effectiveness and modification. In Egypt, fulfilling the terms of the social contract is regarded as a condition of a de jure government. However, during the last 40 years, it seems that the validity of the social contract has changed due to political and economic conditions surrounding Egypt. Therefore, in this project, we reconsider the power of the social contract in the past and survey the process of reforming a new social contract.
