The Korean technical network formation together with Japan

South Korea has performed rapid economic growth based on the Japan-South Korea technology network since Japan-South Korea diplomatic normalization. However, this Japan-South Korea technology network has become a reason for the South Korean trade deficit with Japan and become grounds for South Korea demanding additional technology transfer from Japan. South Korea utilized the Japan-Korea trade deficit in technology transfer negotiations well. This study clarifies the real state of the Japan-South Korea technology network and its significance and also analyzes how the Japan and Korea technology network contributed to Korean economic growth.
