FY 2007/2008 Research Topic: 4-33
Resource Management in Developing Countries
This study will focus on the management of natural resources, which form the basis for social and economic activities in most developing countries. In addition, from the viewpoint of social sciences, we will investigate what kinds of social and institutional structure can bring about the proper allocation of resources. Further, we will search for a new framework of “development and environment,” which can create connections between development studies and resource and environmental studies, by analyzing the formation of “resources” in the process of economic development.
