Open Seminar Perspective on Growing Africa: From China and Japan
In recent years, many African countries have realized stable economic growth. In this context, China’s role in Africa attracts world-wide attention, as its relationship with Africa has rapidly deepened in many fields such as trade, investment, diplomacy and aid.
The Institute of Developing Economies therefore invites eminent Chinese scholars to hold an open seminar, in which they will express their own view on African development and the role of China in Africa. Strengthening the relationship with African countries is of course a very important issue for Japan, too. After the lecture of three Chinese scholars, a panel discussion on this topic will be held among Chinese and Japanese researchers.
